The middle school I teach at falls under Fort Worth ISD's Innovations pyramid, which gains them the flexibility to create their own back-to-school training. I was chosen by the principal to be a part of the design team charged with planning and executing the training.
The project consisted of two committees that were composed of nine different teachers from three different campuses throughout Fort Worth. I served as project coordinator by leading the communication and organizing everyone's availability and meeting details.

 PROJECT GOALS
To create a training experience that did not overwhelm an already overworked group of teachers, but instead reaffirmed their experiences in teaching.
To set a new foundation of empathetic understanding among educators as we enter the new school year.
To provide teachers with tools and resources they can use in the school year and train them on how to implement them into their own form of teaching.
To illustrate how to implement applied learning philosophy into each campus to create a cohesive message behind the goal of applied learning campuses in the Fort Worth ISD.
I designed the digital presentation that put everyone's work together in one slide show.
Every year teacher feedback on back-to-school training tells the administration that they end up feeling more confused and overwhelmed than before and with nothing to really take home at the end that will make them feel more equipped. I made it my own goal to make sure we addressed that problem with this year's training.
That is why I created a virtual hub that houses all important documents and resources. All teachers in the planning committee brought all of the documents they have used and we as a team went through all of them. We chose the most crucial documents, created updated versions, and organized them for a easy user experience.
I introduced the Google Classroom platform to the training audience and educated them on how to get the most out of it. I also created a collaborative space where they can interact and gain expertise from each other as problems arise throughout the school year.
